Ik maak veel en graag gebruik van een aantal Google services; Gmail natuurlijk, maar ook de reader en de kalender vind ik bijzonder handig, en niet te vergeten Google Analytics. Ik heb ze dan ook allemaal min of meer onder handbereik in Firefox, met behulp van de GUtil plugin. Da’s echter niet de reden waarom ik de pas verschenen Mac-versie van Google Desktop niet ga installeren. Dit wel:

Google vertrouw ik nog wel, maar dat “to satisy any governmental request” associeert op de een of andere manier niet zo lekker.
Update: voor alle duidelijkheid moet natuurlijk vermeld dat Google Desktop de inhoud van je harde schijf indexeert.
