De release van een versie van Safari die ook onder Windows draait lijkt op zich vreemd; zitten Windows-gebruikers echt te wachten op een nieuwe browser? Waarschijnlijk niet. Maar ik denk wel dat GeekWithLaptop Sean het bij het rechte eind heeft:

Thinking about this a little more, even a small sliver of the Windows market share will give Safari a huge boost in the raw number of its installed base, which would make Safari a more attractive platform for developers and could increase the range of applications available for the iPhone.
Eens, maar wel beetje boel buggy nog, die beta versie. Maakt Apple voorlopig nog geen goede sier mee.
Tja, beta…ik herinner me ook nog goed de berichten na de eerste beta van IE7. Er is inmiddels trouwens wel een security update verschenen.
